No entanto, \u00e9 crucial proceder com cuidado para evitar que a migra\u00e7\u00e3o se torne uma dor de cabe\u00e7a. Quando se trata de bancos de dados, a expectativa \u00e9 sempre de m\u00e1xima performance. Por isso, uma das principais d\u00favidas que surgem \u00e9: qual a melhor combina\u00e7\u00e3o de Windows \/ SQL Server para utilizar?<\/p>\n<p>Para responder a essa pergunta, realizamos compara\u00e7\u00f5es de desempenho entre o SQL Server 2019 e o SQL Server 2022, executados nos sistemas operacionais Windows Server 2019 e Windows Server 2022. Antes de discutir os resultados, qual seria a sua aposta? Qual vers\u00e3o do SQL Server voc\u00ea acha que teve melhor desempenho nos testes e em qual vers\u00e3o do Windows?<\/p>\n<p>Agora, vamos aos detalhes e como esses testes foram conduzidos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Configura\u00e7\u00e3o das M\u00e1quinas Virtuais<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inicialmente, criamos quatro m\u00e1quinas virtuais com as seguintes configura\u00e7\u00f5es:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processador: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz, 2304 MHz, 4 n\u00facleos, 4 processadores l\u00f3gicos<\/li>\n<li>Mem\u00f3ria RAM: 4.98 GB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sistema Operacional:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard Evaluation\n<ul>\n<li>Vers\u00e3o: 10.0.17763 Build 17763<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard Evaluation\n<ul>\n<li>Vers\u00e3o: 10.0.20348 Build 20348<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Duas dessas m\u00e1quinas rodavam o Windows Server 2019 e as outras duas, o Windows Server 2022. Para evitar conflitos de recursos, apenas a m\u00e1quina atual em teste permanecia online, enquanto as demais estavam desligadas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Configura\u00e7\u00e3o do SQL Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As inst\u00e2ncias SQL foram limitadas a 4 GB de mem\u00f3ria RAM e configuradas com maxdop 4. O\u00a0SQL Server 2019 estava atualizado com o CU26, enquanto o SQL Server 2022 estava no CU13, ambas as vers\u00f5es mais recentes dispon\u00edveis no momento dos testes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Teste de CPU com o CPU-Z<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Executamos o CPU-Z para obter informa\u00e7\u00f5es gerais de desempenho entre as m\u00e1quinas. Somente o SQL Server estava instalado e online, sem receber requisi\u00e7\u00f5es externas. Embora essa varia\u00e7\u00e3o seja pequena, j\u00e1 pode ser um ind\u00edcio de que o Windows Server 2022 est\u00e1 performando melhor. No entanto, como o objetivo dos testes era focar no desempenho do SQL Server, n\u00e3o aprofundamos em testes espec\u00edficos do sistema operacional.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Testes no SQL Server<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Agora, apresentaremos cada um dos tr\u00eas tipos de testes aplicados no SQL Server.<\/p>\n<p>Todos os testes foram executados v\u00e1rias vezes e os resultados apresentados s\u00e3o a m\u00e9dia das execu\u00e7\u00f5es, com o objetivo de minimizar o impacto de outliers nas compara\u00e7\u00f5es. Alguns resultados foram baseados em amostras de at\u00e9 30 repeti\u00e7\u00f5es para garantir maior consist\u00eancia e representatividade dos dados.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Teste 1 \u2013 Loop<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>O objetivo deste teste \u00e9 verificar o tempo de CPU que o SQL Server leva para executar um c\u00f3digo. A velocidade de acesso \u00e0 mem\u00f3ria, cache e alguns tipos de espera n\u00e3o devem impactar significativamente o resultado. performou melhor em todos os testes, enquanto os demais tiveram desempenhos bem pr\u00f3ximos.<\/p>\n<p>Essas pequenas varia\u00e7\u00f5es de tempo podem ter sido causadas por pequenas esperas. Por isso, utilizamos a m\u00e9dia dos resultados para evitar &#8220;outliers&#8221;. Mesmo com v\u00e1rias amostras, o resultado m\u00e9dio e o somat\u00f3rio mantiveram-se proporcionais, dando mais confiabilidade dos resultados.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Teste 3 \u2013 jOOQ Benchmark<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>O pr\u00f3ximo script utilizado para teste de desempenho foi o &#8220;jOOQ Benchmark&#8221;. Com pouco acesso a dados, os tempos de espera e o uso de mem\u00f3ria n\u00e3o devem impactar significativamente os resultados.
